자세한 사항은 NYU CareerNet을 참조하세요.
We would like to offer an internship to a student who's enthusiastic to learn and take part in organizational work that will directly affect NYU's cybersecurity efforts.
This particular internship provides the unique opportunity to assist in cybersecurity operations in the Risk Assessment and Compliance department of NYU IT, helping to evaluate the NYU IT practices and planning. This work will help our procedures and practice meet industry best practices.
You will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Risk Assessment & Forensics and other IT auditors to analyze and edit legal and policy documents and will participate in cybersecurity risk and compliance assessments of NYU projects.
Cyber risk management is a pretty new concept and evolving currently - this is a unique opportunity to participate in a growing specialized field while also improving your skills in analytical work, document preparation, and cybersecurity in general.
If you enjoy writing/editing or pondering issues related to technology law/policies/procedures, this may be a great position for you. You will learn about Governance (the process to align IT actions with organization goals), Risk Management (the process to identify, analyze and prioritize the IT-related risk) and Compliance Management (the process to identify applicable requirements and verify corresponding control and practice), IT Regulation (PCI-DSS, HIPPA, GDPA, FERPA…), Cybersecurity framework (NIST 800, ISO27001), IT Control, IT audit, Policy, and Procedure all in the context of NYU IT.
An IT-related major is desired but not required. Those in pre-law, Business & Technology management or other related majors should feel encouraged to apply, as well as those with experience working in the Technology, Writing, or Policy fields.
Once again, this type of internship is not offered very often. This is a rare opportunity for an interdisciplinary experience!
